Breakfast With God

6:00 - 21 degrees -3/29/26 I sit on my old rocker on my small redwood porch under the overhang with a heater under my chair. My fir tree stands before me illustrating God's power, love and majesty. I sit here in the darkness wrapped in his loving arms.

I say my prayers. Thank God for all my answered prayers and simply talk with him over coffee. There is much I do not understand. Such as a question that was paused to me recently. The question was Did God forgive Judas and if not why? As far as I know there is no documentation on this. Only speculation. But I do believe if Judas asked for forgiveness, he would have received it. But the documentation only shows him throwing down the money then taking his life. What may have happened in between, Ido not know. King David did some pretty horrible things, yet when he reverently repented God forgave him. There is nothing to great that God won't forgive if the individual truly repents.

7:00 The forest lights up with the glow of the first morning sun. Straggly images can be seen through the lake's reflection. Again, I am blessed to witness God's glory.

I lay food down in the driveway to my right for the wildlife and no sooner is it down than the doe who was watching shows up. She is followed by four of her young from last spring with their coats noticeably ruffled by last night's rain. They are spooked by the wind and run off. But right behind them are the rest of the forest who were also watching. This time they are joined by the yellow finch on his annual migration. It is such a joy to see him each year. This spring morning there is a kaleidoscope of color. The song sparrow is singing his song along with the white throated sparrow, the dark eyed junco and the Carolina wren to name a few have all joined into the music of the forest. How blessed am I to be able to hear it and how can anyone not believe in the God who created these gentle and beautiful creatures. "Do they think this all happened merely by chance?" C.S. Lewis.
