5:07 - 7/6/26 -69 degrees. The gentle summer rains have just ended, feeding and nurturing all God's creatures. The Northern Cardinal and the white-breasted nuthatch are the first to echo God's music this morning. Now, the Grey Catbird, the song sparrow, and a new one, the European starling, have entered the mix.

The sun will rise soon. It is already getting lighter. I know that many of you are walking through darkness right now. But maybe you can step back and listen to God's tender voice for a moment and find a little comfort in it. I know what it is like to walk through darkness, but I also know that God walks with you.

I sip my coffee, say my prayers, and thank God for always being with me. I read an excerpt from the Bible, Psalm 99:8-9. It talks about God's great love for us and how he guides us and disciplines us when we go astray. I believe he does this through the consequences of our own behavior.

5;29 I put seed down for all the wildlife, and like magic, they all appear. The male cardinal, with his bright red coat, is first, then the black squirrel with his shiny, wet black coat. It soon becomes a kaleidoscope of sounds and colors. Take a break today and listen to what God has done.

Until next time with Breakfast With God
