Breakfast With God

4:52 - 9/5/26 -69 degrees and going down. Yes, fall is here rather early, it would seem, but with it comes newness. New colors, new clean, dry air, new activities to bring people closer together. Yes, with each season comes a new chapter. And we get to write our own story. If we follow God's lead, it will be a good story; if we don't, it will be just our story.

5:00, My thoughts go to a client who asked me, why did God let this terrible thing happen to him? I said, because evil rules the world, and because man has free will, evil gets to work through us. Hopefully, for your story, it is where you give the pain to God and walk away free from shame and anger. Free to enter the season of new beginnings. How do I do this, you might ask? Well, that is where faith comes in. If you have allowed God into your heart, then it is fairly easy. If you are not quite there yet, then it takes some more knocking at the door, as I have mentioned in my past blogs, until you are ready. And then continue knocking forever because you never stop growing in faith.

5:25, I can feel the stillness all around me in the quiet of the early morning, and I know God is here with me. Someone asked me, well, how do you know this? What do you feel? I feel God's love because I have knocked at the door enough times to know it. He is in my heart because I want him there. It is not a feeling so much as a knowing.

5:30, I say my prayers and talk with God. I thank him, even through life's difficulties, for the blessings in my life. For the wonderful clients he has sent me and the work he has given me to do.
