Breakfast with God

4:30 a./m. - 57 degrees - 5/11/26 I sit on my small redwood porch in complete darkness, surrounded by a magnificent forest, enveloped in God's arms.
5:00 a.m. train welcomes in a new day with its low, mournful whistle wailing through the pines. Out of the darkness comes a frightful shriek, awakening my senses. One I have heard many times before, though. The forest is alive with many ghastly sounds.
I say my prayers and talk with God, asking for his help for those in need. Jesus said, "Ask, and you shall receive." All you have to do is believe. Well, I believe. So if you want your prayers answered, you must first believe that, if it is God's will, they will be. Then sit back and be patient, for he will answer in his time. If you believe your prayers will be answered, that means you trust in Jesus. Belief is the keyword, and why not? Jesus said, "I am the truth and the way."
5:51 The skeletons of the forest are now pregnant with new red buds, leaving a red hue around my lake. The Carolina Wren is the first to lead this morning's chorus, followed by the Black-capped Chickadee and Eastern Phoebe, along with the American Robin. The forest is alive once again with God's glory once again.
Until next time with Breakfast with God.
